Braaid Eisteddfod attracted a full house at the weekend, despite bad weather, with several new competitors taking part.
The event, at Braaid Hall, had a new musical judge this year as Graham Crowe stood in for Alan Wilcocks, who is currently recovering from an operation.
Chairman for the evening was Chris Lyon, with Dot Tilbury the literary judge and Wendy McDowell acting as musical accompanist.
There were memories shared of the Eisteddfod’s long-standing chairman, the late Ian Qualtrough, with Eric Goldie playing a recording from many years ago of Ian paying tribute to Major Geoff Crellin.
