Ramsey residents will see work being undertaken in the town’s harbour this week.

The essential work will see an excavator and a tractor levelling and grading the East Quay berth, which is used by shipping company Mezeron.

Mezeron uses the berth to import goods and cement into the island the work is required to prevent damaged to vessels during manoeuvring in the harbour.

The work has been scheduled to take advantage of the low spring tides and reduced river flow.

Residents in the surrounding area should expect work to take place on Thursday and Friday during the very early morning and late afternoon.
