It was a slightly different day at work for Castletown coastguard members, who safely recovered a ewe and her lamb from the side of a cliff.

A patrol was sent out on Wednsday following a report from a member of the public about a sheep and lamb in difficulty on the south side of Port Grenaugh.

The team called for the farmer before it was agreed that additional safety equipment was needed to reach the sheep.

More personnel were called to assist with the rescue, which turned out to be a baa-rilliant success.
