The Children’s Centre hopes the world’s largest gathering of fairies will come together in Douglas this weekend.
The charity, in conjunction with Douglas Town Centre Management and Barclays, is calling on residents to try to beat the current world record of 878 fairies.
It takes place on Saturday from 3pm. The parade will start at The Villiers Square, taking participants through to the Villa Marina, where they will be counted.
To qualify, participants must wear wings, a tutu and carry a wand. Entertainment will be provided by Looney and the Vikings, to be known as Looney and the Fairies.
This event is free to attend, with donations to The Children’s Centre appreciated.
More than 200 people have already registered online at manxfaerieworldrecord.eventbrite.co.uk
