The main road between Sulby and Ramsey will be closed for the day (Thursday) due to a fallen tree.

It came down on Lezayre Road near the War Memorial at Churchtown.

The road is closed from Parliament Square, in Ramsey, to its junction with St Jude’s Road at Sulby bridge.

Police advise that the Churchtown Loop Road is open as a bypass but is not suitable for large vehicles.

Department of Infrastructure workers are on the scene clearing the tree.
