Children and their families can enjoy a number of free activities that will take place at Noble’s Park.
Football games, a giant inflatable dart board, face painting, an open mic session and more is planned for the Noble’s Park Fun Day in Douglas next month.
A whole host of businesses and charities are holding the different attractions with iCue Academy helping youngsters hone their football skills and Sensory Play IOM providing games to develop young children’s senses and explore their world.
Charity Singing Jo & Co will be running ’burst of song’ sessions throughout the afternoon and Douglas Council’s waste services team will also be hosting some recycling games.
Other free attractions include a giant inflatable darts board that uses football ’darts’, Pop-up IOM’s soft play area for toddlers, face painting, bouncy castles, balloon modelling, a games area, buskers and open mic sessions.
There will be a charity car boot sale and food available to purchase on site.
Douglas Council has organised the family-friendly event. Regeneration and community committee chairman, Stephen Pitts, said: ’A huge amount of effort by officers, councillors and local businesses has gone into ensuring that this year’s fun day not only offers an action-packed family day out for all the family but is also an affordable event, with a wide range of free attractions.
’With music, song, dance, games galore and much more this Noble’s Park fun day is set to be the island’s go-to event on Saturday, August 3.’
The fun day, sponsored by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and supported by 3FM, will take place from 1 to 5pm.
