Lockdown three may be in full swing but it has not stopped us in our tracks at the Isle of Man Family Library during March.
At a time when the majority of the population is being urged to stay at home, we have strived to continue offering as many of our regular activities as possible online.
From Teddy Bear hunts that incorporate videos, stories and sounds, to sticky fingers arts and crafts activities which everyone can get involved in, it’s been great to see so many of you engaging with us on a regular basis.
We are posting daily activities on the library’s Facebook page for youngsters of all ages to enjoy and will endeavour to do so throughout the Easter holidays.
In fact, its fair to say we have some ’Eggscellent’ ideas to keep you occupied during Easter and beyond.
Another something for you to try is a jigsaw challenge. Go to:
www.jigsawplanet.com/ and see if you can tackle any of the random puzzles ranging from 24 to 300 pieces.
l While we missed seeing all your wonderful faces, we managed the next best thing so a big thank you to everyone who sent us pictures for World Book Day.
All your outfits were fabulous which is why we posted so many so more people could see your masterpieces as you dressed up as your favourite characters.
l Don’t forget to head over to our Facebook page for daily inspiration of how to keep the little ones busy.
We will also continue to keep in touch with the most vulnerable members of the community who may be living alone and self-isolating, offering a friendly chat and keeping them up to date with what’s happening locally.
In the meantime, stay home and stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone again in person in the not-too-distant future.
You can still continue to follow us on Facebook or send emails to: [email protected]
