A Manx charity is organising a fundraising trek in Vietnam,
The 10-day Pu Luong adventure, to raise money for Junior Achievement, includes six days of trekking and will take place from October 26 to November 4 next year.
Trekkers will travel along parts of Asia that have remained largely untouched. Vietnam is slowly putting the years of war behind it and open up to show itself as one of the most interesting destinations in the continent.
Walkers will stay in village homes and spend time learning about the local culture.
For the trek Junior Achievement has partnered with specialist charity challenge organisers, Ultimate Challenges.
Junior Achievement chief executive Sue Cook said: ’In April this year I took part in a trek on the Great Wall of China along with 22 other people from the Isle of Man. It was an amazing experience and something I’ll never forget.
’Such was the success of that trek, which raised more than £14,000, that we’re using the same company to organise this one.’
Some volunteers have already signed up but there are still spaces available.

Junior Achievement each year helps more than 5,500 young people to develop skills for the workplace.
