Amazing Grace is a live recording from 1972 and 48 years in the making.

That the film even exists is a miracle.

In 1972, Aretha Franklin, with Rev. James Cleveland and the Southern CA Community Choir, recorded the best-selling gospel album of all time.

Filming live, there was no way to slate scenes making it almost impossible to sync up the sound and the image and after months of trying to manually edit the footage, they gave up and shelved it.

In 2007 the footage was purchased, re-baked and by 2015

the digitally-synced version was complete. It is so worth the wait.
