An information event for those affected by multiple sclerosis takes place at the Cushag Suite of the Palace Hotel later this month.
It is an informal get together with local MS health professionals including a neurologist, MS nurse, occupational therapist, physioherapist, social worker, continence advisor, MS support officer and NSC disability sports coordinator.
They will introduce themselves to delegates and provide a brief update of any developments in their specific area.
Attendees will then be given the opportunity to ask questions before delegates and the health professionals mingle and chat over a cup of coffee
Derek Patience, MS Society chairman said: ’This event is open to absolutely anyone who has any sort of interest in MS, whether they are an MS patient or a family member or friend. This is also the chance for newly diagnosed patients to find out more without the need for making formal appointments.’
He added: ’We are very grateful to the health professionals for giving up their time to attend.’
The event takes place on Wednesday, March 20 from 2pm to 4pm.
Delegates may just turn up on the day but it would be helpful if they would sign up in advance.
