The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has urged people to take extra care after firefighters were called to four outdoor fires within 24 hours.
Crews attended two incidents on Saturday evening, one overnight and another during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The fire service said exceptionally dry vegetation and the current weather conditions had made the fires difficult to bring under control, with hotspots requiring significant resources to fully extinguish.
Across the four incidents, the service deployed eight fire appliances, including a specialist vehicle capable of carrying 8,000 litres of water, along with 40 firefighters.
More than 65,000 litres of water were used during the response.
Firefighters also prevented one of the fires from spreading to nearby vehicles and gas cylinders, avoiding what the service said could have developed into a much more serious incident.
Station Officer Matt Tyrer said: ‘The island is extremely dry at the moment. A single spark can have serious consequences.
‘Thank you for doing your part to help protect our communities, wildlife and firefighters.’
The fire service is urging people to avoid lighting open fires or using disposable barbecues in the countryside, plantations and moorland.
People are also being asked to take litter home, particularly glass bottles, dispose of cigarettes responsibly and never throw them from vehicles.
