The Three Legs were flying high last night as Manx folk musicians won two of top awards at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Music Awards in Belfast.
That included wins for 18-year-old harpist Mera Royle in the Young Folk category and the group Ãmar won the Horizon Award, which is given to the best emerging folk talent.
Mera told iomtoday.co.im: ’I had a great night, I’m really pleased but it hasn’t really sunk in yet. I really appreciate all the support I’ve got from everyone back home.’
The prizes were presented at the Folk Awards final in Belfast’s Waterfront Concert Hall and was hosted by star of the BBC Radio 2 folk show Mark Radcliffe.
