Former Douglas North MHK John Houghton is now elf employed after landing a job as one of Santa’s little helpers.

Mr Houghton, who lost his seat in the 2016 general election, volunteers at the annual Christmas lights spectacular at the Home of Rest for Old Horses and is often seen helping out in Santa’s grotto.
