Deloitte has welcomed four new recruits to its Athol Street office.
The four new joiners represent a diverse range of backgrounds, experience and academic expertise, with degrees ranging from law to petroleum geology.
Joining the team are graduates Aya Eissa, who studied a Bachelor of Finance in Multimedia at the University of Malaysia and an MSc in Accounting and Finance at the University of Liverpool; Ellen Garrett, who completed her Masters of Law at the University of Nottingham, and Sandra Sunny, who studied Geology and Petroleum Geology at the University of Aberdeen.
Local to the island, Charlotte Darbyshire has joined Deloitte’s BrightStart Apprenticeship Scheme, a programme that offers young individuals the opportunity to start their professional career now and bypass university.
Charlotte has worked as a trainee nurse, bookseller and as a project coordinator.
She is now combining these skills as she begins her new career at Deloitte.
All three graduates started their roles from home due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
This opportunity was made possible due to Deloitte’s flexible working scheme.
Deloitte Isle of Man director, Laura O’Sullivan-Spiers, said: ’We are delighted to welcome our new recruits and we are confident our trainees will have the best start to their career.
’After the uncertainty the past year and a half has brought, we are pleased to bring certainty and security to our new recruits and their new careers.
’Whatever challenges lie ahead, Deloitte is prepared, and with our flexible working scheme we are able to offer colleagues to work from home and adapt to this new way of life.’
