Onchan Horticultural Society’s 70th annual show takes place on Saturday next week (September 8).
There will be classes for flowers, fruit, vegetables, pot plants, confectionery, flower arrangements and photography.
Children’s classes include animals made from fruit and vegetables, painted stones, paintings of trams, a vase of garden flowers and Lego models.
In the floral arrangement classes, themes range from Manx Heritage and Random Harvest to an exhibit in a teacup.
The event takes place at the Elim Family Centre, in Second Avenue, Douglas.
The show will open at 2pm, with the prize presentation at 4.30pm.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday (September 5).
Admission to the show costs £1.
Meanwhile, Onchan Horticultural Society’s monthly winter meetings covering a range of gardening topics start on Thursday, October 11 at 7.30pm. Meetings take place in Morton Hall, in Elm Tree Road.
