The Department for Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) has stated that Glen Maye is currently closed to pedestrians.

This comes after recent damage from Storm Debi caused two landslides within the area.

DEFA's statement reads: 'Please be aware that due to two separate landslides within Glen Maye, the glen has been closed until the area can be made safe again.

'Please do not enter the glen and respect all safety signage.

'The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused and will endeavour to open the glen as soon as it is safe to do so.'
