The price of Go Cards has been reduced to match the bus fare cap the government has introduced to combat the rising cost of living.
Go Cards are a smart-card ticketing product offering reduced fares and allows customers to avoid buy tickets for every bus journey.
Tynwald has approved a package which included a three-month trial of capped bus fares at £2.
Adult one-day Go Saver card cost £5, which is down from £7.
A three-day card is £10, down from £14
An adult five-day Go Saver costs £13 as opposed to £19.
A week-long adult Go Saver is £16; it used to cost £23.
The adult card for 28 days unlimited travel is going to cost £50, formerly £80.
Young adults (18-21) pay £40 for 28 days of unlimited travel, down from £60.
Teenagers wanting 28 days of unlimited travel pay £25, reduced from £40.
Minister for Infrastructure Chris Thomas said: ‘The primary intention of the £2 capped fare and revised Go Card pricing is to assist our community with the rising cost of living.
‘I welcome the trial and hope more people use the buses and see the benefit of the trial fare structure.’
The Go Saver cards must be bought on a bus and are not available online.
People who have already bought an annual platinum bus card that covers the trial period were contacted last month and supplied with credit.
Night Owl fares will remain full priced during the trial period.
