Ramsey Town Band is to welcome guest soloists for its annual gala concert.

The band’s gala concert will take place on Sunday, November 19, at 3.15pm at Bunscooill Rhumsaa.

This year Ramsey welcomes husband and wife Sam and Neil Raisebeck as guest soloists playing tuba and tenor horn and Huw Thomas as course director.

Sam and Neil are friends of the band who have visited and worked with Ramsey several times however this is the first time they will have guested as soloists showcasing the talent that has seen them play at the very highest level.

Huw was the band’s course director last year and also tutored the band for the North West Area Championships in February this year.

The band’s managing director Robert Quane said: ’Our programme this year is light and energetic and we’ll have music for everyone. We’re really enjoying rehearsing this show and excited to welcome Sam, Neil and Huw to Ramsey.’
