Bill Hankin, who has resigned as a member of Ramsey Commissioners, has been thanked for his hard work, unique perspective and valuable input to the running of the town over the last five years.

Chairman Andy Cowie said Mr Hankin’s contribution had been much appreciated. He wished him and his wife Jane all the very best for the future.

As there is less than six months remaining of his term of office, there is no requirement to hold a by-election.
