Heron and Brearley, the company that runs the Okell’s brewery and some local shops, is going to run a bar near the Grandstand during the TT races.
It has released an image of the attraction, which will be known as the Trackside.
The 1,500 square-metre development will include a beer garden and an upper deck offering what it calls a ’VIP’ experience.
It will also include a tent, live entertainment stage with large screen TVs broadcasting TT highlights and other motorcycle-related films.
Punters will also be able to use games stations where they can go head-to-head on the official Isle of Man TT console game: TT Ride on the Edge.
Next to The Trackside will be foot outlets, shops and a stunt arena.
It might rival the beer tents planned in town.
The Hooded Ram is taking Bushy’s traditional spot at the Bottleneck car park, while Bushy’s will hope to attract people to the Villa Marina Gardens.
Di Edington of Heron & Brearley said: ’We are excited to be bringing a new and improved experience to TT fans for 2018. We will create an authentic TT atmosphere trackside, offering fans an experience they have not been able to access before now. The Trackside will become a hub of activity for race fans and will develop into a TT landmark destination in its own right.’
