A snapshot census at the hospital shows 13 patients currently admitted with a positive Covid status.
The public health directorate says that there is an even split between hospital admissions who are fully vaccinated and those who are unvaccinated.
’This is to be somewhat expected, given that a large proportion of our island have now been fully vaccinated,’ the directorate says.
’Thankfully, the likelihood is that those people are very significantly less ill than they might otherwise have been.’
