The northernmost access to the Noble’s Hospital estate from Ballaoates Road permanently closed at noon today.
The change follows the completion of Manannan Court, the island’s new acute inpatient mental health facility, to ensure that the building’s outdoor spaces offer sufficient privacy for patients.
Access to Noble’s Hospital from Ballaoates Road will still be possible using the southern entrance.
As a result of the change to access, the route of the Bus Vannin Service 9 has altered, with the removal of the bus stop at Reayrt Noa.
Until the introduction of the new timetable, the Service 9 will instead operate from the Noble’s Hospital roundabout via the perimeter road (past Hospice Isle of Man) to the bus stop outside Grianagh Court and then via Strang crossroads to the main hospital entrance.
