An Italian restaurant in Laxey has been identified as a low risk Covid-19 location.

La Mona Lisa said that a customer who went there on Thursday February 25 between 6.30pm and 8pm tested positive for coronavirus.

The Covid-111 service told the restaurant that as the customer was asymptomatic at the time of their visit and only went on to develop symptoms days later, it is considered low risk.

La Mona Lisa posted on their Facebook page: ’As you may or may not be aware we were contacted by 111 Covid Trace team as a customer had visited the restaurant on Thursday 25th February between 6.30pm and 8pm, this person had since tested positive.

’111 contacted us this morning and this case was explained as low risk & only if symptoms develop isolate & call 111.

’The restaurant, as always, has been thoroughly cleaned along with continual cleaning during the normal service.’

The Council of Ministers are meeting today to discuss the island’s current situation regarding Covid-19.
