Just one day after a warning from Health Minister David Ashford that the island’s zero case status wouldn’t last, a person has tested positive for Covid-19.
The individual was already self-isolating having travelled to the island. Their period of isolation has now been extended by a further 14 days. Contact tracing has been completed.
Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 370 cases have been confirmed in the island, the most recent of which is the only active case.
The virus has claimed the lives of 25 Manx residents on island and David McWilliams who died in hospital in the UK.
