There are now 10 active cases of Covid-19, with seven new cases identified today, the government has confirmed.

Three of those were travel related and detected during day one, seven or 13 of self-isolation.One of the new cases is an Isle of Man-based Steam Packet crew member.'Ongoing investigations suggest a good understanding of the transmission chain and contact tracing will continue,' the government posted at 4pm today.Earlier today, Health Minister David Ashford insisted there is currently no indication of community cases in the island.

A number of venues in the island have closed as a precaution, including the Manx Gymnastics Centre on Glenclutchery Road, Douglas and the Peel Centenary Centre.

A Covid-19 briefing will be held at 6pm tonight to update the public on the situation.
