There are 106 new cases of Covid-19 in the island, according to the latest government update.

Yesterday, the total number of cases stood at 650 but it is now 721.

Of these, nine are pending investigation.

There are no changes in terms of hospital cases.

Nine people are currently in hospital with the virus, with none in the intensive care unit.

From tomorrow (December 23), a change in testing and reporting means the government’s online dashboard will display separate figures for positive cases confirmed by PCR and submitted positive LFT results.

The LFT results will be included in the dashboard figures until the New Year.

While the government updates the reporting system, the dashboard figures will only reflect positive PCR results.

As at 9am today (December 22), 50 Positive LFTs had been submitted.
