The government’s weekly Covid-19 surveillance report has confirmed another two coronavirus related deaths.

This brings the total number of people in the island who’ve died from the virus to 70 since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Meanwhile, according to today’s daily update, there are 1,574 cases of coronavirus in the island.

Of these, 1,271 were detected via Lateral Flow Tests and 303 were detected via PCR testing.

There are currently 10 patients in the hospital with the virus.

Whilst no one is in the ICU, four of these patients entered the hospital since Wednesday’s daily update (January 12).

The current seven-day average for reported positive results is around 316.
