Two returning residents have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the total number of active cases to four.

Both individuals began to experience symptoms after returning to the island and remain in self-isolation . They are the only members of their household.

Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, said: ’Once again I extend my thanks to members of our community who have followed the rules and acted responsibly. I wish both individuals a speedy recovery.

’The contact tracing team are identifying and speaking with anyone who may have come into close contact with the individuals.’

One of the four confirmed cases was in the prison over the weekend which had led to a lockdown at the jail.
