Letters inviting those aged between 40 and 45 to get vaccinated to prevent Covid-19 have been delivered.
Over the next week, letters for those aged between 35 to 39 will be sent out.
Health Minister David Ashford said that more than 55% of the adult population and over 48% of the island’s population had received at least one dose of a vaccine.
The Oxford AstraZeneca type vaccine is the most given at present (59.56%), and 40.44% given have been the Pfizer/BioNTECH jab.
For the 50 to 64 age group, 18,926 vaccines have been given.
Those aged between 65 to 79 have a total of 18,803 jabs given, 10,262 for those aged between 17 and 49 in the vulnerable category, and 9,491 given to those aged 80 and over.
The most vaccines have been injected at the Chester Street vaccination hub (45.2%), followed by the airport hub (32.73%), and the old Ward 20 hub (15.74%).
Currently there are more than 5,000 vaccines on the island waiting to be delivered.
