A wine bar has been identified as a ’high risk’ Covid location.
Anyone who attended the Truth Wine & Tapas bar on Parliament Street in Ramsey, on either New Year’s Eve or Saturday January 2, is being asked to self-isolate and call 111.The venue has been identified as a high risk location after an individual, who was identified as a close contact of a confirmed case, tested positive for Covid-19. This individual is known to have been at the venue on two separate evenings:* Thursday December 31 - 5pm to 1am
* Saturday January 2 – 5pm to 11.45pm
Dr Henrietta Ewart, director of public health, said: ‘Anyone who attended the venue, on either of the two dates and times specified, must self-isolate immediately – as should anyone they live with. Anyone needing further advice and guidance should contact the 111 team.’
The Council of Ministers is currently meeting to evaluate the evolving threat to the island posed by Covid-19.
It follows the deteriorating situation in the UK and six positive test results that emerged late yesterday and overnight.
