Emergency services were called to a lorry crash in the Eairy area on Thursday afternoon.

Fire crews were alerted at 12.36pm after the lorry left the road and went into a ditch.

When firefighters arrived, they found the driver trapped inside the vehicle with injuries.

Crews removed a door from the cab so the driver could be safely freed.

Once out of the vehicle, the driver was handed over to the Isle of Man Ambulance Service for treatment.

A fire engine, an emergency rescue vehicle and a duty officer attended the scene, along with police and ambulance crews.

Firefighters stayed at the scene for about an hour while the incident was made safe.
