Police want to trace witnesses to a road accident in which a cyclist was badly injured.
The 59-year-old cyclist, who lives in the south of the island, is currently being treated in the UK for his injuries.
He was involved in a collision with a white transit van on Church Road, Port St Mary, between Four Roads and Rushen Parish Church, on Thursday January 18, at about 3pm.
Constable Pete Dyer, of the roads policing unit, said: ’As the investigation has progressed, it has become apparent that a number of vehicles were present when this incident took place, but some of those did not stop and pass their details to anyone.
’I would ask anyone to contact the police if they were there when the incident occurred to help us establish what happened.’
Witnesses can contact Constable Dyer at police headquarters on 631212 or they can ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
