Coroner John Needham has opened and adjourned an inquest into the death of a Peel man.
The court heard Andrew Martin Brew, an engineer, was found at his home address in Tynwald Road, Peel, on October 3.
A police report said 41-year-old Mr Brew’s body was found lying on the first floor landing at the house.
A doctor who attended the scene noted evidence of drug paraphernalia and said death was possibly as a result of an overdose, leading to repiratory failure.
However, a definitive cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Adjourning the inquest to resume on a later date, coroner John Needham offered condolences to Mr Brew’s family
