Ashley Hall is 39 years old, and is a P.E. teacher at Ballakermeen High School.
Originally from Manchester, she lives in Peel with her husband, David, and two children, 8-year-old Robyn and Niall, age 5.
Ashley moved to the Isle of Man after she met a Manx friend at university. She moved here, intending to stay for a year, and ended up staying for 14 years.
Ashley is the captain of the Senior Isle of Man Netball Team, and recently led her team to victory at the Netball Europe Open Challenge held at the NSC
The Manx team won the gold medal in the Europe section, and came through the tournament unbeaten, winning against teams such as Israel, Caymen Islands, Ireland and Gibralter.
Ashley also plays netball each week for SMP Ballasalla.
What is your idea of a perfect meal?
A Chinese takeaway eaten in front of the TV.
What is your favourite way to relax?
A long soak in a bubble bath.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Myself and the family are all going on a Mediterranean cruise later this year.
Do you have any pets?
Not anymore.
What is your greatest achievement?
Winning the Netball Europe Open Challenge competition with the Isle of Man senior squad.
What is your favourite time of the year?
The summer holidays.
What is the first job you ever had?
I worked in telemarketing with a surveyors company in Manchester.
Do you have any irrational fears?
Baked beans or ketchup being hidden in my meal.
What is your worst habit?
Biting my nails.
What is your favourite book?
Anything by Michael Connelly.
What is your favourite TV programme?
Game of Thrones and The West Wing.
What is your favourite band/artist at the moment?
Beyoncé.
What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?
Peel Promenade.
What is the last show/band that you saw live?
Matilda at the Palace Theatre Manchester.
If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?
A spa day with friends.
