What is your idea of a perfect meal?
I love a traditional roast dinner with apple crumble and custard.
What is your favourite way to relax?
Any relaxation time I have is usually spent in front of the TV stitching a cross stitch. My last big cross stitch project took two years to complete! It is rather large and is now displayed in four separate frames in my bedroom.
What is your greatest extravagance?
I’m not a very material person. I guess it would be our annual family holiday, which hopefully next year will be the most extravagant yet and may involve a trip to see a certain famous mouse.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, a 14-year-old ginger cat called Stinker and an 18-month-old labradoodle called Baxter. I was wary about the idea of getting a dog, but I couldn’t imagine family life without him now.
What is your greatest achievement?
Most recently my directing debut of this year Peel pantomime. It was a big commitment and undertaking, but was a very rewarding experience. From a professional point of view qualifying as an accountant at the age of 22.
What is your favourite time of the year?
Autumn. I love the colours that time of year and crunching the leaves under my feet.
What is the first job you ever had?
I had a part time job as a checkout girl in Sainsburys while at college in Essex.
Do you have any irrational fears?
Heights, or maybe more specifically, drops. There are some roads in the island that I am not comfortable driving on which makes some journeys longer than they need to be.
What is your worst habit?
Excessive use of my phone, in particular a certain social media app.
What is your favourite book?
I love a good thriller. Choosing a specific book is tough, but I would say anything by Tim Weaver.
What is your favourite TV programme?
I’m not a big soap fan but I do like to watch Hollyoaks on catch-up. I also have a soft spot for The IT Crowd which must bring out the geek in me.
What is your favourite band/artist at the moment?
George Ezra, who I am very excited to be seeing in concert next year.
What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?
The Sound.
What is the last show/band that you saw live?
Back to the 80’s to watch some fellow ’loonies’ who were performing in the show at the Gaiety Theatre.
If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?
I love doing escape rooms and could quite happily spend the whole day escaping from them. I enjoy the different themed rooms and the endless puzzles within.
Choose three people, dead or alive, to invite to dinner?
Jamie Oliver, because he’s from my neck of the woods and can cook the dinner, J K Rowling, because I got a bit confused at the end of the Harry Potter series and would like to know whether Snape was good or bad and Heath Ledger because he had the nicest smile.
