What is your idea of a perfect meal?
Spaghetti Bolognese with a big glass of red, shared with good company.
What is your favourite way to relax?
I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. Holidays are important either abroad or spent at home.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Recently probably Daisy, my miniature dachshund. She’s an utter princess and totally spoilt!
What is your greatest achievement?
Aside from my children, I’m very proud of the work Lisa and I do with Stage Door Entertainment.
We have been lucky to receive funding from the Isle of Man Arts Council to run a project called Theatrefest for the past six years, which champions new work for the theatre.
What is your favourite time of the year?
Springtime, my dad was a farmer and the first signs of spring always remind me of him.
What is the first job you ever had?
I was a junior administrator at Coutts Bank for about a month, but banking didn’t really suit me - I still have no idea what I was actually supposed to do!
Do you have any irrational fears?
Spiders.
What is your worst habit?
I say the word ’like’ way too much, as in: I was ’like no way’, and she was like ’yes way’. I know it’s awful, but I can’t stop. I blame too much American TV as a teenager!
What is your favourite book?
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
What is your favourite TV programme?
I love creative reality shows, The Great British Bake Off, Sewing Bee and Pottery Throw Down.
What is your favourite part of the Isle of Man?
I love Port Erin beach.
What is the last show/band that you saw live?
We took the children to London to see Aladdin last year, they loved it. I always go and see as much local theatre as I can too, so the last local show was DCU’s The Sound of Music, which was brilliant.
If time/money were no object, what would be your perfect day?
I’d love to take the children, and Chris of course, to Disney World in Florida. To make it perfect though, it would be warm rather than hot, everything slightly closer together and no lines for the rides.
Choose three people, dead or alive, to invite to dinner?
My dad, Mozart and Stephen Fry.
Which do you prefer:
Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?
Harry Potter.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs.
Birthday or Christmas? Christmas.
Quiet night in or night out? Night in.
