An island pub now offers canines their very own beer.
The Miller’s T’Ale on Michael Street in Peel is now selling alcohol-free beer made especially for dogs.
Bottom Sniffer Beer is a one-of-a-kind refreshment with dandelion and burdock, rooibos, bladderwrack and nettle herbs, which are rich in iron and iodine and good for a dog’s skin pigment and coats.
The pub’s founder, Charles Miller, said: ’We’ve always had a jar of free dog treats so people’s four-legged friends can enjoy their time in the micropub as much as their owners do.
’Now we’re hoping there’ll be another reason to pop in and "paws" for refreshment - so far the feedback has been very good and so we’re hoping to secure supplies to stock Bottom Sniffer Beer permanently.’
The Miller’s T’Ale was set-up in September 2020, after a refurbishment and rebrand from the Two Fellas Micropub.
It serves imported and local craft ales, beers and ciders.
Mr Miller added: ’At the moment, the coronavirus means bottles are a little harder to source given the situation in the UK, so our stocks are limited and selling fast.
’But for the time being we’re happy to serve parched pooches with their own special beer alongside all the craft ales and ciders we stock.’
