The door is about to close on a special discount and offer scheme which could save residents and visitors to the island a small fortune in the run-up to Christmas.

Visit Isle of Man’s ‘On Your Doorstep’ (OYD) initiative has been running since the start of October and will come to a close for 2023 at the end of November.

The scheme has seen a number of businesses and attractions from across the island come together to offer special discounts for customers during the Autumn period.

The OYD campaign began when a number of island businesses in the activity and attraction sector came together under the Visit Isle Of Man banner to offer a weekend of special offers.

The event was such a success that the 2023 campaign was expanded to include businesses across the food, drink and accommodation sectors - with offers from participating traders active for two months this year.

Nearly 60 businesses signed-up to take part in this year’s scheme, giving residents and visitors the chance to try attractions, dine-out, learn new skills and explore all the island has to offer at a discounted rate or with special offers attached.

These include companies offering walking tours, a summit walking challenge, electric offroad scooter sessions, cycle hire, indoor bowling, clay pigeon shooting, a seafront sauna and adventures in nature, including a full moon walk, fire and concert in a cave.

A host of health and wellbeing sessions are also on offer as part of the initiative - including immersive 'sound bath' therapy sessions.

You can even try your hand at a new sport or activity, with offers on lessons in horse riding, skateboarding, photography workshops, a golf simulator session, gaming and axe throwing
