This morning’s Ben-my-Chree sailing has been brought forward to 8am as stormy weather affects the Steam Packet timetable.

The return from Heysham will also leave 45 minutes earlier than usual, at 1.30pm.

Tonight’s 7.45pm sailing might be cancelled or disrupted. A decision will be made by 5.30pm.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.

The forecast:

Starting dry, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop later in the morning as winds become strong from the southwest.

The rain will then gradually clear away later in the afternoon, as the winds veer westerly, still remaining quite strong and gusty. Maximum temperature 13 Celsius.

Tonight will be dry but breezy, with tomorrow then dry with bright or sunny intervals, with the west or northwest winds continuing strong until late in the day.

Dry at first on Monday, but some rain developing as the day goes on.
