It's going to get very windy tomorrow.

The Met Office has warned of winds reaching up to between 55mph and 65mph for Wednesday morning.

The police said this would raise ’the risk of some travel delays or disruption and possibly causing minor damage or in places’.

The added: ’With many trees still in full foliage there could be a lot of leaves brought down, as well as the risk of some branches breaking off, giving a further potential hazard on the roads.’

The winds have also affected tonight’s Ben-My-Chree sailings, with the 7.45pm Douglas to Heysham sailing being moved to 7.30pm, with passengers advised to check in no later than 6.45pm.

And the return 2.15am Heysham to Douglas sailing will now leave at 1.30am, with passengers asked to check in no later than 12.45am.

All of Wednesday’s sailings to and from the island could also be affected, with a decision being taken on the 8.45am Heysham sailing by 7am tomorrow.

A decision on the Manannan’s 3pm sailing to Liverpool and corresponding return sailing is due to be made at 12pm on Wednesday.
