Jane Wood’s beautifully sewn Mr and Mrs Rabbit hopped away with the best in show prize at Ramsey Horticultural Society’s annual summer show.

The event took place at the Waterloo Road Methodist Church hall, in Ramsey, on Saturday.

Judging included classes ranging from handicrafts, photography, flowers, vegetables, cakes, chutneys and jams.

There was a range of novelty classes including the funniest shaped vegetable, longest runner bean and heaviest tomato.

There really was something for everyone in the children’s section.

Classes ranged from paper aeroplanes (judged on both appearance and how far it can fly) to a miniature shell garden.

Stand out entries in the children’s section were from Treljah Norris with some superb baking and photography and Charlie Kerruish with his impressive Lego model of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

Cash prizes of £2 were awarded to the winners, with £1 for second place and 50p for third place.

Following the prize presentation there was a raffle.
