Junior Achievement Isle of Man created a spell-binding stand at the Royal Manx Show.

Budding witches and wizards flocked to the Harry Potter-themed stand on Saturday and were met by some of the well-known characters from the books, including Moaning Myrtle, Professor Snape, Dobby the house elf, and Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid.

The tent’s detailed decorations included platform 9 3/4 complete with a trolley loaded with a trunk, the four Hogwarts house banners and ’wanted’ posters for Sirius Black. Fans got to take part in a potions class, sit on a flying broomstick and even meet Pepsi the owl.

Visitors to the stand could also buy magical sweets, including slithering snakes and sour spiders, and their own hand-made wands, with all proceeds going to Junior Achievement Isle of Man.

The educational charity helps young people to make the connection between school and the world of work, enabling them to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed.
