Magicians, actors, musicians and dancers showed off their skills in a concert filled with a variety of entertaining acts.

The ’Evening of Entertainment’, organised by the Jurby and Northern Community Initiatives, saw acts of all ages take part and perform on stage at the Jurby parish hall.

The show was opened by four-year-old Ruben Lister, who stood on a stage for the first time and played a handful of tunes on his accordian.

The evening saw a display of magic and trickery from the local double act Professor and Mrs Marvo, a dance performance from the Manx Trinity dancers and the Jurby Jig Kids and music from Eric Goldie, who played his musical saw, and the Bulgarian bagpiper Vlad Stefanov.

There was also a variety of on stage antics and games, including a line of children taking part in a ’happy, sad and ugly face’ competition.

The evening saw a crowd of more than 100 people in attendance, and raised £501, which will help the Jurby and Northern Community Initiatives charity put on future community events and projects.
