A landslip in Santon has led to the closure of its coastal path.

The Raad Ny Foillan coastal path suffered a landslip on June 1 and is currently impassable at Santon.

The Department of Infrastructure stated there was an initial closure order for a week until June 8 while it was investigated and a plan to deal with it was formulated.

This has now been extended to June 15.

A staff member of the highway services has been asked to assess the situation and report back with findings.

It’s not been possible to divert the path onto adjoining private land.
