Isle of Man Scout Association is asking residents to have their say on the future of Scouting in the island before the end of March.
Alex Armstrong, survey coordinator, said the organisation wants to know how the public see Manx Scouting, ’what is good about it and what it can do better’.
They want to hear from everyone, even people who have never been involved in Scouting or have no real idea what Scouting is about.
He added: ’We want to know what young people enjoy about Scouting, why those not in the movement are put off Scouting, what their adult volunteers get out of Scouting and what the general public’s perception of Scouting is.’
To do this, the Scouts have created four surveys, one for people aged six to 25 and who are involved in Scouting and the same for adults over 25, one for those involved and one for those not involved.
Those who take part will be in with a chance of winning Amazon vouchers, for two minutes of their time.
Anyone wishing to take part is asked to visit www.manxscouts.com/future.
For those without access to the internet, those without the confidence to complete the survey online, or those who require assistance, paper copies of the survey are available on request or one of the team can take phone calls and help complete the survey over the phone. Contact Alex Armstrong on 412462 if you would like assistance.
