Law firm Appleby funded packed lunches for members of the island’s paramedic service during TT Race week.
The firm provided the lunches to thank the service and recognise the care they provide during a particularly busy time.
The lunches were funded by the Appleby Charitable Foundation and were delivered by Delissimo of Port Jack before roads closed on race days.
Each year the Appleby Charitable Foundation donates funds to multiple local charities. So far this year it has supported charities such as the Isle of Man Arts Hub, DO! Developing Orphans and the ManxSPCA.
Kate Shimmin of Appleby, who co-ordinated the initiative, said: ’The Isle of Man is so fortunate to have an outstanding Ambulance and Paramedic Service which works particularly hard over the TT Race period.
’The Appleby Charitable Foundation wanted to recognise this so arranged to supply the ambulance and paramedic crews with packed lunches on race days to say thank you and to keep them going.’
