Lee Johnston claimed his maiden TT victory in Monday evening’s shortened opening Monster Energy Supersport race.

Delayed from earlier in the day to allow the Superbike and Sidecar race one contests to take place, the four-lap evening race was cut short after two laps as a result of deteriorating conditions, particularly in the west of the island.

As such, Ulsterman Johnston clinched his first TT win round the Mountain Course ahead of early leader James Hillier and Peter Hickman.
