The latest pothole to come to our attention is this one in Peel.

So bad was the problem that the Department of Lego Infrastructure had to be brought in to try to repair to road.

The group of workers was led by supervisor, six-year-old Tjade Clarke, who put his team to work on the road just off Battery Road.

His mum Sarah said: ’Tjade loved using his Lego to look like the men were working on the road.

’I saw the "pothole of the week" in the paper and I thought as my son loves using Lego we could use the Lego figures as builders.

’Once I told him about this he was so excited and kept saying "can we do the pothole".

’It was his idea to make the road and the house for the builders which I thought was a fab idea. We waited to do it till his uncle Bob was over from Northampton and we had to do it quickly so we didn’t get squashed or the Lego by any cars going past.

’One car came past and when we told them what we were doing they said they’d keep an eye out for it in the paper, which was great to hear.

’Tjade loved doing it and thought it looked ace when we put it on the road.

’He’s looking forward to taking the paper into school to show his teachers and friends.’

A spokesman for the DoLI said: ’We are always proud to serve the people of the Sunset City and we hope under Tjade’s leadership we can continue to repair the island’s roads, wherever we are needed.’
