Capable of clocking up speeds in excess of 200mph, this mean machine will be one of the start attractions at the annual Dragfest.
The event will be powering up the dragstrip at Jurby airfield over the weekend of September 1-2 - providing a spectacular end to the Festival of Motorcycling fortnight.
It’s been attracting dragracers on two and four wheels from all over the UK and Ireland since 2010.
Organised by Straightliners and Manx Drag Racing Association, the event usually attracts huge crowds for a weekend of racing.
And organisers say this year’s Dragfest should see some track records tumble.
The headline attraction is Julian Webb who will be heading for Jurby with his jet dragster Split Second which has as run the 1/4mile in under 6 seconds at more than 200mph.
He will be out to set the outright track record currently set by Phil Wood on his Hyabusa at 8.72sec.
Among the local racers on two wheels is Gary Leach from Kirk Michael on his Kawasaki who will be chasing Phil Wood for the event win.
On four wheels Ian Merryweather with his Fiat Topolino will be hoping to put the 1200bhp along with Malcolm Forbes in his slingshot dragster.
Members of the public can also take part with their car or bike for £45 per day.
For that they can make as many runs up the quarter mile as you want.
Participants will receive a timing ticket as proof of their run.
They are automatically put into a class among other similarly powered vehicles.
At the end of the weekend they will then run off for the win in their class.
Gates open 9am with racing starting at 10.30am.
Spectator entry fee is £5 per day with children free of charge.
The event is sponsored by gambling firm PokerStars.
