A brave 13-year-old will this weekend shave her head to raise money for a cancer charity.
Lilly Elson will have her head shaved on Sunday at after deciding she wanted to help Manx Cancer Help in memory of her grandmother who died from the disease.
Lilly said: ’One in two people will come across cancer at some point in their life and MCH is an amazing charity that helps people and their families to support them and I wanted to help by raising money for them and help in any way that I could.’
Her hair will then be donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children who lose their hair as a result illness or treatments.
Lilly’s hair will be shaved off by the staff at Lime Street Studio in the Strand Shopping Centre at 1pm.
